Everything started by chance, almost as a
joke, with a present, a present by the name of Sara.
Sara, a Fox Terrier puppy, was given to me by
my cousin, Luciano, who in the summer of 1991 had a litter from
his two Fox Terriers, Gilda and Gigi.
Between Sara and me, it was love at first sight,
so, although I didn’t have my parents’ permission,
I still decided to take Sara home and for the first few weeks
she lived in my room without anybody knowing!
As I was convinced that Sara was a lovely Smooth
Fox Terrier, I began to take her to some local Dog Shows. I immediately
realized that I had no idea what a good Fox Terrier should be
like.
At one of these Shows, I met a certain Mr. Bochese.
I found out that he was a great Terrier specialist and he told
me that he had a very nice male to mate with Sara. That is how,
knowing Sara could never be a winner in the ring, I decided that
we could perhaps produce some nice puppies and that was what happened.
Sara was the start of it all. I owe her all my
successes as she was the mother of some of the most important
Fox Terriers who have left their mark in the history of Italian
breeding: Giulio Cesare, Cav. Silvio Berlusconi, Maria Giulia,
Greta Sweet, all famous International Champions.
And that is how Stefania Savini started breeding
Fox Terriers. |
